Montreux is situated at the foot of the Alps on the
banks of Lake Geneva, in a region known for its unique climate and quality
of life as "The Swiss Riviera". The town is only 90 kilometres (56 miles)
from Geneva International Airport, which is served by numerous airlines.
Some 25 food stalls can be found along the lakeside, offering
the possibility to eat outside. Food from around the world to satisfy your
taste buds: ice cream, cakes, fast food or something more sophisticated.
There is an extensive menu of eclectic food on offer, including seafood,
Asian, Italian, and well-known Swiss specialities, of course.
Beyond
the concerts on the main stages, the Montreux Jazz Festival developps and
offers many free concerts and events, during the entire Festival.
