Taking place over three days across four stages,
The international rock festival 'The Eurockeenes'
has been taking place on the peninsula of Malsaucy near Belfort for 18
years now. What started out as a big party for young pop fans has grown
into a major festival drawing some of today's most popular acts and an
audience of over 95 000 people.
Belfort is located on the east of France, closed to
the border with Swiss. – Find out on the google map The Basel / Mulhouse
Euroairport, is only 70 kms from the festival. EasyJet gets cheap flights
from London (LDN / STN), Liverpool, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam and 15 others
European cities. Belfort is also easily reachable by train. From Belfort
station, you may take the free shuttles to reach the festival site and
the camping spot.
Every year the Eurockennes invites people to attend a
hullabaloo of different musical style : pop, rock, heavy metal, hip hop,
electro, reggae, latino, world music etc, giving everybody the opportunity
to cast an eye and to pitch an ear towards the music of other realms by
the sheer force of conviviality.
So if the gathering of different musical generations
yearning to share similar sensations can be expressed through the Eurockeennes
experience, then festival does live up to its name and lasting existence.
